Photo of Lucia4:30 PM - Wed 19 November 2008I'm back in Bristol for a few days after visiting my daughter and her hubbie and the lovely new grandchild Lucia - she is absolutely beautiful. Here's a link to some photos..Luciahttp://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...=637503707 They went home today after a few days in a lovely unit where her husband was allowed to stay while they learnt all about breast feeding etc - we're so lucky in the UK - the NHS were absolutely brilliant - she had to have a Caesarian in the end and the treatment was excellent and the aftercare good too. They get so much of a knocking but compared to other countries we are still very fortunate. And here's one for those who haven't clicked the link above

If I was able I'd try and convey what he said here - but I can't so I just give you this link. Words of Peace Efx2blogs is out of action today - fingers, toes and everything crossed that it comes back on line soon. comments {1}Imaginary Post!1:40 PM - Thu 26 June 2008This is an imaginary blog post - you can make what you like of it!Whatever you'd like to read here - take it as given x comments {9}Peace9:21 AM - Thu 12 June 2008With all the recent videos I've watched on peoples blogs about the US nominations etc I thought I'd put up this short video by my spiritual teacher Maharaji about peace. It's a different angle - not political.I've been practicing the meditation he teaches for nearly 40 years so I can claim to know it works ha ha!! http://wordsofpeace.net/ comments {4}Yet More Knitting3:36 PM - Thu 15 May 2008I can't believe how much I'm enjoying knitting in between everything else!!
comments {12}Girlfriends11:44 AM - Thu 8 May 2008What a lovely few days I've had.One of my oldest friends from London from the seventies came to stay for a couple of nights. I took her out and about in Bristol on Tuesday afternoon which was glorious sunshine and Bristol on a sunny day can't be beaten. We have so much green space and gorgeous walks, not to mention the Suspension Bridge. In the evening after a quick but nice meal I took her to my regular open mic night and on Wednesday she came with me to songwriting. She has a beautiful voice but hadn't sung in public for more than twenty years so a bit of a breakthrough for her. Last night I invited two other close women friends to join us for dinner and for me having my closest friends together for an evening of talk and laughter couldn't be bettered. I cooked a lovely meal of salmon and roast vegetables with garlic and honey, strawberries and cream and we drank wine and whiled away the evening chatting about the past, present and future. Life is good. comments {6}Knowledge Birthday12:24 PM - Sun 16 March 2008Yesterday, March 15th was what I call my "Knowledge" birthday. On that day in 1972 I was taught some simple but wonderful meditation techniques by my spiritual teacher Prem Rawat (Maharaji) which have been my anchor throughout my life. The teaching is very simple and doesn't clash with any religions or promote a particular lifestyle but just shows a way to connect with your own inner self. When I practice it regularly it gives me genuine inner happiness and peace and whatever's going on in my every day life it provides a constant point of reference. So thankyou Maharaji for enhancing my life and giving it real purpose. Words of Peace
